For quite a while we had our LineWeaving forums on hold. And just a few weeks back we brought them back online and the group is slowly returning and having fun together online again! I hope you’ll pop in and take part in our weekly challenges and art swaps.
Recent ATC Swap
We just finished up an ATC swap with 6 participants sharing their spring time creative patterning ideas. We had flowers and Easter eggs show up in most of the ATCs. I think a new swap will be starting up again soon. If you’re interested in swapping some patterned art with others around the world – come on in and join the fun.
Weekly MOJO
Yes we’re at it again with our weekly MOJO challenges. They are posted usually on Sunday or Monday. The MOJO challenges keep our creative juices flowing by encouraging us to combine a few patterns together into one drawing. By playing along in the challenges, it keeps you actively practicing your pattern work and making those cells ping on the creative right side of your brain. This weeks MOJO included patterns: PickPocket by Tomas Pradros, GR8 by Lori Byerly, and Triangle Stack by our very own Jeannine Schoonaert.
Weekend Weaver Projects
We’ve added a new weekly prompt called the Weekend Weaver. This Challenges will be posted near the end of the week like on Friday or Saturday. These challenges will be based on composition, form, color, media, substrates, fresh ideas, templates, and all sorts of fun stuff. Players are encouraged to accomplish the challenge before the next Weekend Weaver prompt is posted. But if it takes you a bit longer – that’s okay too. The goal of the project is to just have fun with it and maybe stretch your creativity a bit further as you go!
This weekend we’re working on a “Fill ‘er Up” project. It’s a basic patterns stack in a cup type layout. And they look something like this:
